Picta is a NOMS Offender Employment,Skills & Services Group managed and funded project that aims to promote IT training within Prisons.

The industry recognised qualifications and practical work that is available can lead to employment.

The project had its first site running in April 2004 and has now created Picta workshops in 26 sites across the UK. See sites link for more details. There are plans for further sites during the current year.

If you are a prison that does not yet have a Picta academy then please contact Nick Dickens at Able House for more details and to arrange a preliminary meeting.

At each site we have the some or all of the following courses on offer:

ECDL (European Computer Driving License)
CISCO IT Essentials 1 (Computer Hardware/Software Building/ Repair and Maintenance)
CISCO IT Essentials 2 (Networking and Server)
CISCO Cisco Certified Network Associate
Panduit Network Infrastructure Essentials (Voice and Data Cabling)
Web Design OCR I-Media Level 2
